Regional leak detection starts from $798 inc. GST for the first hour on site, then $198 per hour if more time is needed, and the price depends on travel time from our Melbourne base. You get a written report for your plumber, insurer or water corporation, and our phone line is open 24/7.

We book regional jobs ahead so the technician arrives with the right equipment for your leak, and we aim to find it in a single visit.
Regional properties have their own leak patterns: long underground supply lines on larger blocks, older galvanised and copper pipes, slab leaks in newer estates, and roof and box gutter leaks after storms. From $798 inc. GST for the first hour on site, depending on the town. Gisborne, Bacchus Marsh and Ballarat are $798, Kilmore $898, Warragul and Bendigo $998, Morwell, Leongatha, Wonthaggi and Phillip Island $1,198, Traralgon $1,298, Shepparton $1,398, Ararat $1,498, and Sale, Bairnsdale, Wodonga, Albury, Hamilton, Lakes Entrance and Swan Hill $1,598. Extra time is $198 per hour.
Why does regional leak detection cost more than Melbourne?
The first-hour price includes the technician's travel from our Melbourne base and back, so it rises with the distance to your town. There's no separate travel or call-out fee on top.
Do I pay if you can't find the leak?
No. Found or you don't pay: if we can't find the leak you booked us for, you don't pay for the inspection. Conditions apply; see our guarantee terms.
My town isn't in the list. Can you still come?
Usually, yes. For towns further out, such as Echuca, Wangaratta, Warrnambool, Portland or Mildura, call 1300 346 353 and we'll quote before booking.
Will my water corporation reduce my bill for a hidden leak?
Many regional water corporations have a leak allowance or hardship policy once a concealed leak is repaired. You'll usually need evidence of where the leak was and that it's been fixed, and our written report covers the first part. Check the policy with your water corporation.
Do you repair the leak as well?
Yes, if you'd like us to. Our visit is about finding the leak. If you want us to fix it, we'll quote the repair and return at another time to complete it, often with trusted independent trades. Many regional customers have their local plumber repair it from our report.
