Pools lose water to evaporation every day, especially on hot, windy Melbourne summer days. Before booking anything, do a bucket test:
- Fill a bucket
Put a bucket on the pool's top step and fill it so the water inside is level with the pool water. - Mark both levels
Mark the water level inside the bucket and the pool level on the outside of the bucket. Turn off auto top-up. - Wait 24 hours
